I’m David Apex, a filmmaker and editor based in New York, credited professionally as David Apkhaidze.
I offer editing, directing, video production, and post-production supervision. I can join your team as an editor, oversee a project’s post-production, or develop, shoot, and edit a complete video. My experience spans feature films, television, documentaries, commercials, music videos, and digital content.
I hold a bachelor’s degree in film and bring over two decades of experience in film and television—from same-day broadcast delivery to feature-length storytelling. I edited Citizen Saint (2023), directed by Tinatin Kajrishvili—Georgia’s official submission for Best International Feature Film at the 96th Academy Awards and a competition selection at Karlovy Vary.
As senior editor and post-production supervisor at Silk Factory Studio, I oversaw picture editing, color, sound, and visual effects through final delivery. That experience allows me to contribute both as a hands-on filmmaker and as the person coordinating a project’s finish.
